Kevin O'Gorman LL.B
- Principal
Kevin worked as an airline pilot
and for ICI before qualifying as a solicitor in 1994. Kevin is
involved in both criminal defence advocacy and the property
departments. He is also responsible for the firm's strategic
growth.
David Twigg LL.B
- Associate Solicitor
David is a Solicitor-Advocate who has been practicing criminal law as a defence solicitor for 20 years after a decade working for West Midlands police and the CPS. Significant cases include representing police officers involved in the West Midlands Serious Crime Squad, the Birmingham Six, the Brixton prison escape, three fatal police shootings, the M50 murder, the murder of Carl Bridgewater and the Waldock murder case in Portugal. He also has specialised experience in police misconduct matters as well as other non-police criminal investigations. Recently he has successfully defended a pilot prosecuted for endangering an aircraft by the Civil Aviation Authority as well as the reported case of DPP v Milton (the 150 mph policeman) in the Magistrates Court and the High Court.
Samantha
Harris LL.B - Associate Solicitor
Samantha qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and has been practising as a family solicitor since this time. Samantha is able to advise on a wide range of matrimonial and family law related issues including divorce, separation, civil partnerships and cohabitation issues. Samantha is also experienced in dealing with private child law matters such as residence and contact disputes and can advise Victims of domestic violence.
Simon
McDaide - Civil Litigation Manager
Simon
is the Civil Litigation Manager. He is a highly practised litigator
with extensive knowledge in employment and commercial litigation.
He also has in-depth knowledge of equestrian and agricultural
issues. Simon is also able to advise on a wide range of company law matters.
Bernadette Lenihan LL.B - Assistant Solicitor
Bernadette is a solicitor within the conveyancing department having both trained and qualified with O’Gorman & Co. Bernadette deals mostly with residential property but is able to advise on a wide range of property issues.
Mark
Baldwin - BA (Hons) LLM - Assistant Solicitor
Mark is a solicitor specialising in civil litigation. He joined the firm as a paralegal in 2005 on completion of the Bar Vocational Course and has since completed a Masters in law and qualified as a solicitor.
Liz Duffy – Conveyancing Executive
Liz is a conveyancing executive having worked in the law for some 30 years. Liz now specialises in residential conveyancing and residential developments and has an excellent knowledge of the local area having lived in Warwickshire for many years.
